Grief is a deeply personal and a deeply painful part of all our lives. The Bible tells us that 'the Lord is close to the broken-hearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit.' (Psalm 34:18)
In order to support those bereaved in our congregation and community, we have a bereavement support team who are here to come alongside you and walk the journey with you. We can also point you to trained counsellors.
We also have a Memory Tree that is in the foyer to the church, by the main entrance, where you can place the name of a loved one who has died.
We offer prayer support both from the bereavement support team and from the prayer team. You can access prayer support either by seeing the prayer team on a Sunday at the end of the service or by putting your name and telephone number in the box by the Memory Tree, and someone will be in touch.

The Bereavement Journey www.thebereavementjourney.org
This is a website that will direct you to a local place that runs a 7 week course in groups of 6-8, which allows you to discuss your feelings and loss in a safe and supportive environment. If there is currently not a local course running or you prefer online, there is an online course that is run nationally that you are directed to that you can join.
